Two more Zn/S launches 7-13/11/2010, 2-nth with on board video camera. It is a small Zn/S motor with nozzle throat 2,5mm (about 0.1") and propellant mass about 250 grams.

Biggest caramel rocket in Europe

We flew a big rocket on 12-SEP-2010. The rocket "CHERRY-2010" is 5m (16'4") tall, OD-0,5m (1'7"). Start mass - 175kg (375lbs). Propellant - KNO3/Isomalt 65/35 + 2PG + 1RIO, propellant mass 18kg (40lbs) - 8 uninhibited grains. Motor - O-11000 class. Apogee altitude - 415m (1360'). Main chute - 54m^2....

A Zinc-Sulfur propelled launch

Propellant: 4,3kg (about 9.5lbs) Zn/S (75/25 by mass), Start rocket mass = 14kg (30.8lbs), Rocket OD=110mm (about 4.3") . One spectacular flight.

Looks to my untrained eye that it doesnt want to go straight... That's right. The construction is just for test, like firework: http://83.142.20.10/vmk/www/downloads/Su_Nozzleless_1.JPG I calculate my nozzleless rocket motors with Richard Nakka's SRM. The important parameter is Kn(min) and Kn(max)....

Diameter D:30mm; L=180mm; core diameter: d=6mm L(core)=160mm
Propellant: KNO3/Su 60/40 Recristallized - 200gramms

Propellant: KNO3/Su 60/40 Recristallized - 70gramms
Rocket - D:40mm L:600mm -start weight 375gr.
Max altitude (apogee) 325m ~1000feet

Hello,

A 2weeks ago i make thist simple, cheap and lightweight parachute ejection system. Successfully tested on the groung. Flight test will be soon.
