How many hertz would a jam jar run at.. I guessed at like.. 5 since it was small and such. Im probably wrong. Im trying to upload the video but youtube is being lame.

I was just cureous if a VNT would be any better. Maybe I'll be the first to give it a try.

I should really kill it after 5. I have ran it for 4 runs now and them lasting 10 seconds on average. I have it surrounded by 1/4" lexan and a fire extinguisher. I just took video of it in class I'll put it up as soon as I figure it out. The room I was also doing it in has a pretty cold ambient temp...

VNT turbos

Has anyone here ever thought of using a VNT turbo for a GT? The thought ran across me while reading up on them. A guy on my mercedes forum has one in his 300D and it works like a small turbo and a larger one at the same time. Would the vanes help with spool up time in a GT and throttle control? or s...

It worked. The 7/16th hole did the trick. I put a teaspoon of methanol in and shook it . It made the sound when I released my thumb. Wiped the lid and screwed it on good. Lit it and she ran for 15-20 seconds. My classmates were astounded as much as I was. I cant wait to build my pipewood.

I finally got the go ahead on my pulse jet project at school so I started off experimenting with a jam jar pulsejet. Standard Smuckers jar, 5/16 hole in the center, and 1 tablespoon of methanol(HEET).. Shook it and wiped the inside of the cover and top. Lit a long match and put it near the hole... I...
