re: GIANT SPARKPLUG!!!
Where'd you buy the NPT plugs from, never seen those before. A quick search doesn't turn up much of anything. Thanks!

Jonny: when you say mixture of 10:1 you are not referring to the fuel air mixture are you? Because I thought that propane could only combust between 2% and 9% concentration in the air, with 4.03% being ideal, So couldn't your 25,000LPM be almost cut in half (assuming that by "mixture you meant fuel ...

re: Wiki?
That's a great idea, several other forums I visit have a Wiki and it helps newbies out immensely. With cumulative editing and revising, knowledge quickly accumulates. I would love to have a Wiki for this site.

re: Bosch Fuel Pumps
Whoah! Does this mean that you could hook up an air tank and have a cheap air compressor? Or does it only pump liquids? Sorry if that is an incredibly inane idea, just seems like it could be cool.

How about those extendable rollers that heavy duty drawers use? I don't mean the cheap plastic wheel kind like in your kitchen, But the metal type like this:

directing a flow of argon gas over the weld using a separate hose
Doesn't the shielding gas have to come from the same point (or close to the same point) that the weld pool is being made, otherwise proper shielding would not occur? Just a speculation/theory/guess/don't believe me.

Thanks DazMan, the noise should definitely be taken into consideration (I live in the middle of a very populated area) I will probably ride the thing once or twice, then sell it like I do most of the stuff I build. Thanks for the warning though (deafness is not on my wish list)

re: for use in providing a hovercraft with lift?
Why not use the leafblower for lift and the PJ for forward propulsion? It sure would simplify things.

The skirt would have to be made of a high temperature heat resistant material, adding tremendous cost. Also, when a pulsejet's outlet gets backpressure (I.E being shoved into a skirt) wouldn't the pulsed combustion stop because there is no fresh air coming in? Or am I totally wrong?

re: 55 lbf L-H replacement?!?
Hinote: Thanks for the advice, but I eventually want to mount an engine on some form of vehicle. An FWE probably doesn't have enough usable thrust to push me. Also, I will probably only be allowed to build one engine before my parents see it as a waste. So, I would like my first engine to be a good ...

No problem, I've already been waiting for several months to build an engine. I may not even get to build this one depending on price, availability, and parental permission (My folks get really freaked out when they see sparks next to propane). I'm in Carlsbad, CA.

Please post diagrams when you are finished. I have been thinking of building a lockwood, but realised all the metal rolling would become frustrating very quickly. An easy to build version would help newbies like me immensely. Thank you for trying to make pulsejets available to a larger group of peop...
