re: Problems getting to this site

I don't need a proxy anymore either, and I have noticed that the forum is faster as well.

re: Another pocket lockwood success

I've filtered out the noise, and had a look at the spectral view, and noticed something really funny, there are multiple peakes: time1 711 Hz 1431 2142 2896 3574 4285 time2 700 1431 2153 2885 3563 4242 4952 5652 6319 7773 9173 9829 time3 700 1410 2121 2820 3574 4242 4920 5630 6319 7019 8462 9130 981...

re: Another pocket lockwood success

I've made a frequency analysis with Adobe Audition 1.5: http://img124.imageshack.us/img124/1470/untitled4yy2.jpg I think dat the block before 10kHz is what the mic could record, the block after 10kHz looks like noise. The peak volume with the complying frequency is displayed at bottom right. I could...

Re: re: What marketing execs hear when engineers talk

Hi, ...They will usually have no questions for the presenter during the post discussion phase of the meeting !!! probably because they had no idea what the hell you were talking about I think presentations of that kind are really useless since only a very small group is able to understand it. In my...

re: Slip Rolls & Cones.

Aren't there rollersets on the market with conicalshaped rollers? With rollers almost everything should be possible with shaping sheet metal. Just check out what they do in custom car manufacturing. They make wings, fenders and sidepanels just out of one piece of sheet metal. The thing is that the r...

re: MIG TIG ARC PLASMA?

With AC, the polarity of the current is constantly changing. When the torch is attached to the negative side, 2/3 of the heat is used for heating the material, and 1/3 for the tungsten electrode. This is when you're welding. When the torch is at the positive side, it is exactly the other way round, ...

Nice pictures. That shot through the intake while running is very nice. Much sharper than my through the intake picutes, much more details and much brighter.
On my through the intake shot you can hardly see the injector, only blue flames rushing through the CC.

re: Problems getting to this site

There were already some topics on this problem, and like I said before: use a proxy-server. Without it, I haven't been able to access this site at all so far, but since I use it it works fine, and not at all slower than other sites.

But the allowed max is pretty low, over here it's only 50mS/year. But if a geigercounter sounds like that, you were definately exposed to more radiation than that.

re: heat resistant mortar

I see, but still I doubt it, perhaps I should test it once. If got a digital thermometer and a soldering torch, and I must have some pieces of sheet metal as well.

re: heat resistant mortar

I doubt that kit used for fireplaces is temperatureresistant till 1250°C.
I know that stuff, I used it for "glueing" together my uncle's barbeque.
It should be pretty temperature resistant, since charcoal in a stone barbeque can reach high temperature, but 1250°C is really high.
