On a slightly different tack, why do people often think of putting an afterburner after a pulsejet. I'd rather do the opposite -- put a pulsejet after a jet engine. Why hasn't anyone thought of a pulse afterburner? Ordinary turbojets with reheat waste fuel by burning it in this huge inefficient ram...

It's a new type of concrete based off ceramicrete, the stuff in nuclear power plants. It's got a short cure time and can be sprayed onto a mold, and it's fire resistant.

The only feasible way to use a scramjet is to use a gun-fired one. But the materials that are accessible to civillians probably aren't sufficient for the high pressure and aerodynamic heating suffered by a scramjet, especially considering the pressure that a projectile would go through. Besides that...
