Finally back, building PVC Rocket!
Been gone a long time, the Military wouldnt let me build nor photograph the cool things Ive done. A bit more settled down now and after a careful reading of my barracks rules and regulations I am finally able to get back to building (only a few things). This time its Rockets! I had a while to perfec...

Just took the ASVAB and got a 99th %tile, qualified as MLRS Crewman. Its my 2nd choice after Apache Pilot (seriously) but the more I look the cooler it becomes. For those not familiar here is a short vid showing it in action http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GJlGZCgPqts&NR=1&feature=fvwp Though I am pr...

Re: Calculating top speed on ice...
Im using an Aeromotive Bypass Regulator, Ill take some pics tomorrow but its easier to describe how it works. It was the cheapest bypass regulator which actually works differently from a "normal" fuel regulator. The inlet is actually 4 female threaded holes around a spring loaded cone. The cone seal...

Wow missed a day and you already filled out anothr page...
Will you be using that old throttle valve for throttle or regulation? Its exactly like my fuel regulator for my car.
You can get stainless that doesnt work harden, cant remember the grade but its listen on mcmastercarr.

Re: Aerospike valveless?
I was thinking that, but its a very large area inside there would be hard to control fuel once it heated up.
Gotta work on the intake, maybe Ill make the spike ceramic refractory but I dunno if it will stand up to the pressure flux inside the PJ.
So much to do....

If you kept the volume of area and angles the same, think it would run?
My pic was the best I can draw on my cell, and I have given 0 thought towards intake etc.

Regular epoxy melts but Pheonlic resin is ablative, instead of melting it flakes away as it burns. Cant find it at Tap Plastics but can be ordered from fireworks suppliers
