!!!!!! success !!!!!! keep in mind this is just a simple one time use type of jar, lol, but i use a soup can an hot glued the top back on, then made a 5/8" round... well more like cir-quare-tangle, hole in the top :P, filled the bottom with some 70% rubbing alcohol, and i got like a whooooff, pop ,p...

I am hoping it will spin kinda fast....like 1000 rpm if possible and under.
might be a bit much. also i wont be powering anything with this so no worries there. I'll post some pics when i get it done.

this might get confusing... there are 2 cans used in this. the image at the top, is the bottom of one can with no sides. the image on the bottom is the bottom of the other can with higher sides .(to keep in the fuel) the line in the middle of the bottom image would be some sort of nut and bolt confi...

i did a little experiment and took a empty and dry 500ml water bottle with the cap on, put a small hole in the side put hairy spray in it, lit it, and belive it or not ....it buzzzed!! well for a second or two then the bottle collaspted, melted pretty flat and now the garage stinks like crap... ooop...

Cool but sounds a bit complicated i think ill go with the valveless pulse jet
but how loud are they exactly and ive heard they consume alot of fuel is that true?

in the last couple of days ive been reading up on pulse jets and someone made a crude pulse jet using a empty jam jar or mayonaise jar?:S
everytime i look in google a recipe comes up explaining how to make strawberry jam, so what are these things and how are they made.

can someone send a link on how they work or are they closely related to another type of jet engine? :?
