Re: "Replacement" for Gluhareff tipjet.
Downer ?

Re: "Replacement" for Gluhareff tipjet.
This is the back-pack helicopter frame for which the pulse/ramjet could be used.

"Replacement" for Gluhareff tipjet.
This idea is to find an "easy" replacement for the Gluhareff pressure jet engine as used on his helicopters. Based on Mr. Cotrill's Lady Jane Grey valveless pulse jet, because it has the same thrust as the Gluey G-8-20 (20lbs of thrust) I turned the Lady Jane Grey "inside-out" and use the hollow cen...

re: The Gyro-Jet
Very nice drawings and concept!! You need only one engine to pre-rotate the rotor as the engine blowing on the retreating side will add nothing to power the rotor,on the contrary. The rim on the rotor, or fan, has advantages but I have my doubts that it will be benefitial for a rotor in autorotation...

Tom, I'm as calm as a man can be :D "Mayby expressing confusion over not being able to find....." is a very nice attempt to minimize what Mr. Ogorelec wrote but I'm not stupid. If you judge me by reading only what I have posted and dont care to read between the lines of what Mr. Ogorelec wrote than ...

Excuse me for spelling your name incorrect Mr. Ogorelec. I did not know how difficult it was to search for the group but instead of bluntly saying that "there is no such group" or "yet you claim..." you simply could have said that you could not find it,you could even blame me for being so stupid not...

re: map surveying question
I used to work in a surveyor team back in the old days when you needed 3 man and a lot of equipement. When the electronic theodolithe came on the scene a lot of things changed (one of them was that the team was reduced and that I was transferred to the design burea!!) and the time in the field was r...

I would have posted a direct link ....if I knew how to do it! I appreciate the fact that you come up for your members, however "there i...

"I cant find it" doesn't mean the same as "there is no such group".

The original Bell Rocketbelt could fly for 13 seconds.Bruno Ogorelec wrote:Isn't the duration of thrust for a rocket simply too short? The peroxide apparatus of the original flying belt could keep a man up for a few minutes.
Today flights of 25-30 seconds are possible.

How big is the hole on the top where you unscrew the valve?. It must be smaller than the exhaust hole I suppose. Did you get some trust out off it?. Looks like the not so aerodynamically front and back could interfere whit that. With what where you blowing it?. Just curious. Leo. -will measure it b...
