This is the back-pack helicopter frame for which the pulse/ramjet could be used.

This idea is to find an "easy" replacement for the Gluhareff pressure jet engine as used on his helicopters. Based on Mr. Cotrill's Lady Jane Grey valveless pulse jet, because it has the same thrust as the Gluey G-8-20 (20lbs of thrust) I turned the Lady Jane Grey "inside-out" and use the hollow cen...

Very nice drawings and concept!! You need only one engine to pre-rotate the rotor as the engine blowing on the retreating side will add nothing to power the rotor,on the contrary. The rim on the rotor, or fan, has advantages but I have my doubts that it will be benefitial for a rotor in autorotation...

How big is the hole on the top where you unscrew the valve?. It must be smaller than the exhaust hole I suppose. Did you get some trust out off it?.
