Re: re: questions about blast compression

Hi Adam, I was wondering if your mystery fuel in water mixture would detonate if it was fuel injected into a CC chamber and then a smaller supersonic detonation aimed at the CC would cause the whole CC to detonate? Hagen That is exactly what we are trying to do! Disolving the fuel in water is just ...

Re: re: questions about blast compression

Thanks Pezman- Blast compression configurations? Special fuels? I think that now that the ball is well and truely rolling its time for performance. whatcha think? RG RG, we are already doing that work. I have a blast compression prototype that my partner (db) that was just completed initial constru...

Re: re: Blast Compression Intake proposed design

Adam I am very glad to see that you have put your theories to steel. Please keep us up to date on your progress. Dave Actually im just the designer, db (another board member) is doing the actual construction in his shop. We have been collaborating on the prototype design and theory off board. I was...

Larry,
CC volume is also adjustable as well as the exhaust exchangable.

re: Blast Compression Intake proposed design

Hexagonal BCI prototype is nearly complete. Just have to add the ignition system.

re: questions about blast compression

Greg, A prototype test rig is nearly finished for testing my blast compression intake design engine. We still have to add the ignition system to get the engine to start the oscilation with blast compression. When lit from the exhaust, it just operates as a blow torch. There is not a pressure wave po...

Re: Stainless FWE with small intake runs at -3 F !!!!!!!!!!!

Um… We do need to go back, it seems. There’s a misunderstanding here that needs to be resolved. The term ‘standing wave’ is a contradiction in terms. It really is standing, but it is not a wave. But – and it is a big ‘but’ -- it is the indication that real, moving waves are about. We ...

Re: Blast Compression Intake proposed design

I think I have the same lamp, its very thin brushed stainless steel. Im not sure if I want to rip it apart or not.... very tempting... must resist.... such inner conflict..... arrrggghhh Ogge, you are welcome to participate in any thread, provided you follow a general decorum. Not understanding how...

Re: Blast Compression Intake proposed design

I would certianly be willing, providing I could somehow aquire a parabolic shell without tearing a lamp apart. I wonder if I could make one from sheet metal.... Steve, You dont really need a parabolic reflector, just a tube the diameter of the intake with a plug at the far end would be closer to te...

Re: Blast Compression Intake proposed design

I managed to get a nice, steel parabolic shell from a lamp that I bought at Wal-Mart (bought it precisely because it had some parabolic and hyperbolic shapes that looked like they'd be nice starting points as PJ parts). Sounds like a worthwhile investment. My only concern would be the distance from...

On another note, I guess I should stick to my own threads. It appears that Im not welcome to offer facts or opinions in one of Eric's threads.

Cool, I was considering using acetalyne but was conserned I would melt my prototype.
