JB-Weld is Great Stuff |
|
I used JB Weld on the brass radiator in my old Dart, and it lasted till that poor car's last strugglin' days. I put the filler neck cap gasket in the wrong way and it blocked the port to the overflow tank. I was taking it out with my buds (learning to drive it actually) when BLAM!!! the hood shot up and steam started gushing out! I guess all that stop-and-go in the 32 deg C heat got the old 318 pretty hot. I got some water and drove home. When it had cooled, I applied about 3/16" of JB Weld, overlapping by about 1/2" on all sides of the inch-long crack. |
