Subject :  Propane feed and isomeric flammable gases
I want to use one of those disposable propane canisters that you can hold in your hand with the brass torch that screws on top, the kind you might use to soldier some copper pipes to a hot water heater or something. I want to circumvent the safe slow torch fuel feed with the pinhole in the fitting that presses agains the valve pin in the tank.
Does anyone have a recommendation? I just need enough fuel to run a small pulsejet, not some Lockwood which uses those 5 or 7 gallon tanks of propane, or in Bruce's case 50 gallon, ha.
Remember that Dynajet sized valveless with the twin intake tubes that run parallel with the main exhaust? In one picture the valveless is shown mounted on a toy car. I think it was called the "Thermo-jet."
Has anyone drilled out a hole or what would be the best approach, is there one kind of torch head that is best for this?
Thanks,
Mark

PS I recall the Gluhareff literature where it is imperative that you use propane and not natural gas or methane for optimum thrust. I wonder if propane works better because it doesn't catch fire in the side injection system as suddenly as methane or does propane emit more energy than methane per gallon and that's where the rub is? Which produces the most calories? Or does propane burn faster than natural gas or straight methane? How about butane?
