Well there we have it: Graham and Milisalvjevic on-line at the same time. Graham, I will write you this evening -- but be warned -- the Ducks and Devils are going at it later, so I will be a bit distracted. As no Canadian team managed to fight their way into the finals, I am pulling for the "Mighty Ducks".
I know the English prefer football (soccer), among other sports: Canada's soccer prowess is ranked as 77th, from what I read in this morning's news. Phew! (I like soccer, too)
As to the Lockwood dimensions, if the transition segments are correctly sized (forward angle at 45-60 degrees; after angle at 35-45 degrees), my model drives the intake and combustor segment lengths to the same value.
FWIW, the 5.25" (To) Lockwood, whose plans have been widely distributed (and redrawn in AutoCAD, by an enterprising Englishman -- if I am not mistaken =), is incorrectly proportioned. It is also not representative of Lockwood's best work.
The 1100 mm tailpipe is the better value, to be sure; however, to be consistent with the "patent engine", Ananth's example should sport a somewhat longer tube.
